Booking & timing
- When should I book a maternity, newborn or family session?
- As far in advance as possible. Newborn sessions are reserved during pregnancy and photographed within the first 14 days after birth. Maternity is best between 28 and 34 weeks. Family sessions book 6–8 weeks ahead, sooner for school holidays.
- What if my baby arrives early or late?
- Your newborn date is a placeholder — once baby is here we confirm a date within their first two weeks. There is no fee to reschedule for an early or late arrival.
- Do you require a deposit?
- A small retainer secures your date and is credited toward your final collection. The balance is due on the day of your session.
- What is your cancellation policy?
- Reschedule freely up to 7 days before your session. Inside 7 days we move your retainer to a new date within 6 months.
On the day
- Where are sessions held?
- At our Mona Vale studio (11/89 Darley Street, Mona Vale NSW 2103) or on location across Sydney's Northern Beaches — beach, bushland or in your home.
- How long does a session take?
- Maternity and family sessions run 60–90 minutes. Newborn sessions are 2–4 hours so we can feed, settle and never rush baby.
- What should we wear?
- Soft, neutral tones work beautifully on camera. Once you book you receive a wardrobe guide and access to our client wardrobe of maternity gowns and family pieces.
- Can my partner and older children be in the photos?
- Absolutely. Sibling and partner portraits are included in every maternity and newborn session.
- Is the studio safe for newborns?
- Yes. Aline is trained in newborn posing and safety. The studio is heated to 28°C, sanitised between families, and every pose is supported — composites are used for anything that looks unsupported.
Gallery & artwork
- When will we see our photos?
- Your private online gallery is ready within 2–3 weeks. Newborn galleries are prioritised and often delivered sooner.
- Do we get the digital files?
- Yes. Every collection includes high-resolution digital files with a personal print release.
- What artwork do you offer?
- Hand-finished fine-art prints, matted folio boxes, framed wall pieces and heirloom albums — all produced by Australian print labs and framers.
- Can we order prints later?
- Your gallery stays open for 12 months for re-ordering, and we can reopen it any time after that.
Pricing & payment
- How much does a session cost?
- Session fees start from $450 and include planning, the shoot and your private gallery. Artwork and digital collections are quoted separately so you only pay for what you love.
- Do you offer payment plans?
- Yes — interest-free plans are available on collections over $1,000. Just ask when you book.
- Do you offer gift vouchers?
- Yes. Vouchers are a popular gift for expectant parents and can be applied to any session or artwork.
