Newport is eight minutes from the studio door, which makes it one of the simplest suburbs we work with. Families frequently book a studio session and add a short outdoor finish at Newport Beach or the Bilgola bends on the way home.
It is also a suburb with real light. The west-facing Pittwater side glows late in the afternoon while the ocean side is already in shadow, so we can chase the sun across the peninsula in a single session if the timing is right.

At eight minutes away, Newport newborn families get the full studio experience without the drive being a factor at all. It is the closest suburb to us after Mona Vale itself.

- Around eight minutes down Barrenjoey Road, which makes Newport one of the easiest suburbs for a first-fortnight newborn session in the studio rather than in-home.
- Do you photograph newborns in Newport?
- Yes. Newport families book either the Mona Vale studio (about 8 minutes to the studio) or an in-home newborn session where we bring lighting, wraps and the full kit to you. In-home is the usual choice in the first fortnight when nobody wants to pack a car.
- How much does a photoshoot in Newport cost?
- Sessions start from $590 + GST, or $389 + GST with 8 hand-retouched digitals under the Founding Families PLUS limited offer. Most families invest between $800 and $1,200 once wall art or an album is included, and there is no travel charge to Newport. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
- Where do you photograph families in Newport?
- Our regular Newport locations are Newport Beach southern end, Bilgola Bends lookout, Newport foreshore (Pittwater side). We choose based on the season, the wind and the ages of your children, and confirm the exact meeting point the day before.
- What time of day works best for outdoor photos in Newport?
- Sunrise or the last ninety minutes before sunset. The light is soft, the shadows are kind and the spots are quieter. With babies and toddlers we usually lean towards the morning, before the day catches up with them.

- We move you into the Mona Vale studio or reschedule to the next suitable window at no cost. We make the call together the day before, so nobody is packing the car in the wet.
- Do you travel to Newport at no extra cost?
- Yes — travel across the Northern Beaches, Newport included, is part of the session. There is no mileage fee, no location surcharge and no minimum spend to have us come to you.
- How far in advance should Newport families book?
- For newborns, reach out in the second trimester and we hold a tentative date around your due window. For maternity, aim for 32 to 36 weeks. For family sittings, four to six weeks is usually enough, though short-notice dates open most weeks.
