Balgowlah and Balgowlah Heights sit at the southern end of our patch, and the families we photograph here tend to split evenly between in-home lifestyle sessions and the drive north for a full studio session.
The harbour side changes what is possible outdoors. Instead of surf and dunes, Balgowlah gives you still water, moored boats, big trees and the kind of soft, sheltered light that suits maternity and extended family work particularly well.

Flat grass, shallow water and easy parking — the most practical spot in the area for young families.

Quiet, green and sheltered when a southerly makes the ocean side unusable.

- Yes. Balgowlah families book either the Mona Vale studio (about 28 minutes to the studio) or an in-home newborn session where we bring lighting, wraps and the full kit to you. In-home is the usual choice in the first fortnight when nobody wants to pack a car.
- How much does a photoshoot in Balgowlah cost?
- Sessions start from $590 + GST, or $389 + GST with 8 hand-retouched digitals under the Founding Families PLUS limited offer. Most families invest between $800 and $1,200 once wall art or an album is included, and there is no travel charge to Balgowlah. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

- Our regular Balgowlah locations are Forty Baskets Beach, Tania Park, Dobroyd Head, Clontarf Reserve. We choose based on the season, the wind and the ages of your children, and confirm the exact meeting point the day before.
