Getting a five-day-old baby, a change bag, a feeding pillow and a recovering mother into a car is a genuine undertaking. In-home removes all of it. You do not pack, you do not drive, you do not watch the clock on the way. If a feed runs long, nothing is lost — you are already home.

The photographs are different too. Studio work is timeless and clean; in-home work is specific. It is your window, your linen, your dog on the end of the bed, your older child climbing on. In ten years the studio frames will still be beautiful, and the in-home frames will show you the house you brought them home to.

The van carries the same gear the Mona Vale studio uses — lighting for overcast days, wraps, neutral textiles, a portable posing setup and a heater. You do not need to tidy, and you certainly do not need to style anything.

We travel to Mona Vale, Newport, Avalon, Narrabeen, Dee Why, Freshwater, Manly, Brookvale, Balgowlah and the surrounding North Shore at no extra cost. Sessions can also finish outdoors — Mona Vale Basin, Bayview or your local headland at golden hour — if you would like a few frames with the water behind you.

In-home suits families who want relaxed, documentary frames and minimal disruption. The studio suits families who want the full posed newborn look, a curated wardrobe, seamless backdrops and controlled light regardless of weather. Many families do both across their first year — newborn at home, then a milestone session in the studio. Either way, pricing is the same, and every session starts from $590 + GST.
