Your Studio Day — A Walkthrough
From valet parking to gallery delivery — exactly how a day at the Mona Vale studio unfolds. Bring this to feel completely at home.
— A note before we begin
A studio day is meant to feel like a slow morning
This guide walks you through exactly what to expect on the day of your session at our Mona Vale studio. Read it once and you can leave it behind — the whole point of the day is for you to be present, not planning.
Sessions are unhurried. There is no one booked after you. We make tea, we move at your baby's pace, and we let the day unfold.
With warmth,
Aline

Before you arrive
The studio is at 11/89 Darley Street, Mona Vale. There is street parking directly outside and a small carpark behind the building — both are free and almost always available in our morning window.
If you are bringing a newborn, leave home a little earlier than you think. Feeding and a nappy change in the car park, with a settled baby walking in, is the smoothest start we know.
— Section two
Hour by hour — a typical newborn morning
- 010:00 — Arrival. Tea, kettle on, baby fed and settled. We chat for fifteen minutes. No camera yet.
- 020:20 — Family and parent images. While baby is awake and bright, we capture you holding baby, sibling cuddles, partner shots. Quick and gentle.
- 030:50 — Settle and feed. Baby feeds again. You rest. I prepare the first set.
- 041:30 — Baby-led posing. With baby sleepy and warm, we work through the wraps and props we planned. Slow, supported, calm.
- 053:00 — Wardrobe and styled sets. Outfit changes, more involved compositions, props that take a few minutes to set up.
- 064:00 — A final feed and a wrap. We finish, you have another tea, and you leave with a quiet baby.

— Section three
What to bring
- A full feed bag. Bottles, formula, breast pump if you use one. Twice what you think.
- Spare nappies and wipes. A surprising number. We keep extras on hand too.
- A change of clothes for baby. Plain singlets, plus anything personal you'd like in the images.
- Comfortable clothes for you. Soft tones, fitted but not tight. We have a small palette of mum-wraps to borrow.
- Siblings' entertainment. A quiet toy, a snack, a tablet for the in-between moments. Not needed for long.
— Section four
What's provided
- All wraps, bonnets, headbands, and outfit pieces for baby
- All backdrops, props, beds, beanbags, posing stands
- Tea, coffee, biscuits, sparkling water
- Nappy change station, wipes, hand sanitiser
- A quiet, private feeding chair
- A second pair of hands — my assistant is here for the full morning
— Section five
After the session
You go home. I do not edit in front of you — selecting and refining images is slow, careful work that needs quiet time.
Within two weeks you receive a private online gallery to view at home. We then meet (in studio or by video call) to choose your prints and album. Final images and any wall pieces arrive within four weeks of that meeting.

Fresh dates open most weeks — newborn reschedules mean short-notice spots come up often. If your date is close, reach out anyway.
